Step inside! Hello! We've the most amazing show
You'll enjoy it all we know
Step inside! Step Inside!
We've got thrills and shocks, supersonic fighting cocks.
Leave your hammers at the box
Come Inside! Come Inside!
Roll up! Roll up! Roll up!
See the show!
Left behind the bars, rows of Bishops' heads in jars
and a bomb inside a car
Spectacular! Spectacular!
If you follow me there's a speciality
some tears for you to see
Misery, misery,
Roll up! Roll up! Roll up!
See the show!
Next upon the bill in our House of Vaudeville
We've a stripper in a till
What a thrill! What a thrill!
And not content with that, with our hands behind our backs,
We pull Jesus from a hat,
Get into that! Get into that!
Roll up! Roll up! Roll up!
See the show!
Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends
We're so glad you could attend
Come inside! Come inside!
There behind a glass is a real blade of grass
be careful as you pass.
Move along! Move along!
Come inside, the show's about to start
guaranteed to blow your head apart
Rest assured you'll get your money's worth
The greatest show in Heaven, Hell or Earth.
You've got to see the show, it's a dynamo.
You've got to see the show, it's rock and roll ....
Soon the Gypsy Queen in a glaze of Vaseline
Will perform on guillotine
What a scene! What a scene!
Next upon the stand will you please extend a hand
to Alexander's Ragtime Band
Roll up! Roll up! Roll up!
See the show!
Performing on a stool we've a sight to make you drool
Seven virgins and a mule
Keep it cool. Keep it cool.
We would like it to be known the exhibits that were shown
were exclusively our own,
All our own. All our own.
Come and see the show! Come and see the show! Come and see the show!
See the show!

Wellll.. depending on the weather at the time, I could imagine stopping to grab a coat (especially a fur one because it's warm!) so you don't freeze to death outside.
Plus, it would make a good blanket for when you had to sleep someplace. Plus it would make a good pillow just in case.
And.. lets not forget another important reason.. it's valuable and would make a great bargining piece if you were looking for safe passage, food, etc. and didn't have any money handy.

Bean: "She starts a non-hunting board, right? She's all anti-hunting and stuff. Then, she decides to change her opinion on hunting, yet keeps being mod of a board whose title refers to NON-hunting, and, further, decides to allow hunters be mods. Of course what she thought mattered!"
jim: "she was caught up in it too obviously, but at least she opened up admitted the crap and decided not to continue with it."
bean: "Good for her...in some respects. Shame on her...in other respects. (shrug)"
thats pretty clear. but the good for her part outweighs the shame part because of how she at least came out with handling it afterward. better that than to have just stayed obstinate correct.
still i have not seen barb try and make any steps toward the positive period, except come really close to apologizing then getting pissed and switching that apology to her qwerty friends for something different (allowing the ruckeus to be seen by you [them]).
Bean: "She's regretful about what? If she was bothered by the personal information being posted, why didn't she, as HEAD moderator, take action? Is she weak? Is she helpless? Was she incapable of posting, "Hey, West! Barb! Knock that shit off! Oh, and I'm deleting this thread NOW!"?
jim: "ok...she was regretfull of being a party to that type of behavior. she has acknowledged it was wrong and will not be doing it again according to her. she obviously did not tell them to knock it off."
bean: "Good for her...in some respects. Shame on her...in other respects."
repeating the same answer shows a lack of creativity and conviction.
jim: "you sound like you are switching blame onto her for some reason bean. it was all of them. prowildlife is now denouncing his ara status and is still a puke because his convictions are weaker than his mind. morgan is still lurkin around...(he was coronet on qwerty if you can recall). vegangal has continued her ara stuff but in a more honest way as far as i can tell. i took it as a step in the right direction for her to ask myeslf and mal to co-moderate the nhrc, to show that there will be open debate or whatever without biased influences from a single minded admin. i can respect that step."
bean: "Nah, I don't blame vegangal for anything...other than, perhaps, making a poor judgement in not deleting the threads where personal information was posted."
you dont allow credit there either after she allowed the truth to be seen and heard. is that so it does not look like barb is all that bad?
Bean: "Who is "they"? Did the "grandstanding" take place in the private mod section or in the open sections? Do you honestly believe that anyone would post anything like that, in any kind of serious fashion, on a board that anyone could, in reality, access, including government people? Why would West's "big" talk be any different than some of the "big" talk I see here, when it comes to dealing with anyone who would mess with them?
This high drama is, at this point, becoming comical, on BOTH "sides."
If he's as violent as you believe him to be, then he's no doubt on some government list and is being watched...and, like, he's going to really DO something if he knows he's being watched? He sounds like a big blowhard."
jim "they are the former admin of the nhrc. the granstanding and manipulation took place on the public area and in the admin the paranoia and scheming was put forth along with other stuff. i really dont know why morgan would spout his crap. and i did acknowledge it may just be that....big talk .... you refer to bean. i also know that in the context of the threads that barb did not know if he was a blowhard or serious and she acknowleged liking his "type". if you dont know what or who the person is and they spout the crap he spouted...you dont do that with that info....duh"
bean: "But...you're apparently assuming the worst, as far as Barb's reference to liking "his type.""
jim: "i will repeat i have no idea if he's violent i kinda think he is just full of shit and himself and its difficult to tell thw two apart...but nobody knows that to be fact.....and why would one spill rf's info to that person if you dont know?"
bean: "That's true, so when anti's make the choice to talk rough and tough, how is an AR'er supposed to know if it's just harmless, blowhard talk or real?"
you are stating this like i, rf, sd, or any other people who jump on barb verbally pose a physical threat. we dont and i think its quite obvious even when barb would go to extremes trying to holler that we do or we are the "types that would" because of her vast knowledge of those that would do such.
morgan on the other hand has never given indication of being other than the way he talked. he said as various identities that he supports sab hunts, supports deadly force. in one post i have not reposted (yet) that barb should be carrying a weapon.
Bean: "What shoes?"
jim: "rf's shoes. cmon bean look at the situation and tell me barb is full of well meaning deeds toward rf. you may not be one to be pissed about these actions but i would be."
bean: "RF has a way of coming across quite angry, when he goes on rant of some kind. Why should his angry rants directed towards AR types be taken any less lightly than angry rants AR'er types may do? Since it's all written communication, with no facial expression and voice tone involved, at best it's a guess as to how sincere someone is in their angry rants."
because he has never threatened violence toward other humans that i've ever seen. he just calls names as his opinion is formed or confirmed. but i think more than him calling names....its the truth that he uses to get his points across that comes off more threatening. thats my opinion of through observation of course.
he offers words that can never hurt...(as in the old saying)...but does not threaten with sticks or stones or bullets or grendes, or a-bombs.
jim: "also let me reiterate one thing that barb has been saying and eluding to as of recent. she has implicated me as one who posted, was involved in posting, and/or bragging about the posting of her personal info. I WAS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY OF THAT. and id welcome proof beyond accusations to say otherwise. i did however laugh and talked to the person who did at one place....and i said after he removed it that "removing it was wise"."
bean: "I believe you. Post a general message at Twisted Sisters board stating your case, and it also will be there for posterity, in addition to here."
well bean, i have at qwerty..is certainly was not there for all posterity, in fact, it was soon archived, forgotten about and i was reblamed by barb time and time again for this....and im certain will continue to be. thats ok though...because it shows that she still is way full of shit....and prevents her from ever really being taken seriously.
bean: "Why should Barb feel regret for anything she's done? I doubt that RF or anyone else feels regret for their treatment of her over the years. Everybody feels justified in their own actions, yet no one is exempt from behaving like nothing more than 5-year olds involved in a battle over a toy."
jim: "um..cuz regret would mean that she realized that it was wrong."
bean: 'True."
i know, thats why i said it..lol. and she continues to do wrong by not being regretfull and lying and denying.
jim: "i dont regret treating barb as i have treated her."
bean: "Obviously."
was there a point there or is this just a reitteration of the obvious....or sarcasm?
jim: "in fact ill continue until she owns up to and acknowledges her hypocracy."
bean: "So, continued harrassment is your goal...got it."
you think you got it...but i guess i see it as more than harrasment. i see it as trying to get a wrong righted.
others in this situation have taken that step including myself, mal, vegan, and possibly others i am thoughtlessly forgetting.
jim: "as for 5 year olds....well bean you are right here in it too...don't forget that."
bean: "Never said I haven't been. Only difference is that my discussion in this is all about stressing that Barb is a friend...not defending her blantant disregard for privacy, but defending her as a person who is my friend. My reference to people behaving like 5-year olds was in reference to the stuggle between AR'ers and anti-AR'ers, as they pull back and forth on the freedoms. "It's not your "right" to be cruel to animals!!" "Yes, it IS my "right" to do whatever I want to animals!!" "No, it's NOT!" "Yes, it IS!" etc. ad nauseum."
no your discussion is about covering for barb by diverting lots of the blame to vegan gal when she has done her job and apologized to those wronged by her and allowing the truth to come out. which you have only made a feeble attempt at acknowledging.
by the way her only comments on seeing rf's info was to acknowledge seeing it.

Hell, I don't know why I wrote that...just more babbling.
It's not odd for someone to have the need/urge/desire to want to grab at least
something when faced with something dire, such as flood, fire...or fleeing for their life in any capacity.
Some people make an attempt to grab practical things, while others make an attempt to grab sentimental things, etc.
If I remember correctly, JD also ended up making reference to that particular coat having sentimental value to his grandmother, so there ya go.
This particular exchange took place several years ago, and all I remember is that, at the time it took place, it just struck me as funny, in a dark humor kinda way.
Naturally, and understandably, it was viewed as my making light of or making fun of the poor woman and the situation she was in, which, of course, wasn't my intent at all.

JD's point was how useful his grandmother's fur coat was in saving her life. You laughed that anyone could be so 'shallow' as to grab a fur coat when fleeing the Nazi's. You were quite unapologetic then, I wonder why you appear to be changing your tune now?

Your attempt to paint me as being insensitive to the Jews fleeing the Nazis was all too transparent, and I won't stand for you trying to pull that particular kind of Casey-move.Â

No, it was done in order to hurt JD - you outright admitted that at the time. The fact that in doing so you also ridiculed the Jews who were fleeing the Nazi's, was what got the board in a general uproar at the time.
Before you go any further, I have only one thing to say...not all apologies are put on public display.
Much as you'd like to think you know all and hear all, I'm afraid I'll have to break your bubble.
Unfortunately, I don't keep emails that I send out for any great length of time; perhaps, JD does...with any luck, he does. With any luck, he remembers.
Edited to add: Heck, now that I think of it, we were on AOL way back then; so, even if I did keep emails I send, I couldn't access them anyway.

Bean, if that is the truth, than I apologize for bringing it up.
I still think you have terrible taste in friends.

Thank you Casey. Yes, it's the truth, but I certainly would have no problem with you touching base with JD, to ease your mind.

Wow, this thread is a classic.
Any chance it ending up in the 'hold till it molds over' section?

Yeah it is a classic. It's when I came to this board (the dark side). I kinda had forgotten about this historic leap.
