I've heard that even more lies are being told at this board - that qwerty has been closed and that LisaM (and possibly others) is asking if she's been banned.

Qwerty has not been closed and as far as I can tell, all Voy boards are down. Or, at least, the Voy boards I know of are down, as is Voy's main page, voy.com. And, no one has been banned.

i think it started out mainly as questions rather than anyone intending to lie. (shrug)
anyway, glad to hear it's not gone, and thanks for posting.

Tried posting this at Qwerty's, but it's still not working.

New board in town...started by Barb. There ya go...it's out in the open. Aw shucks, now no fun for some, since no "detective" work will be involved.

I'm giving thought to being a parttime moderator and fully support Barb's choice to remove language she personally finds offensive. Despite my dislike of censorship, I'm not at all averse to following a little rule here and there in life. Shoot, I even follow Frank's rule of no-porn, despite my wanting to post porn sites...okay...JUST KIDDING...lolololol.

Anyway, here we go again, trying another new board; hope it flies better than the last ones, because, much as I enjoy Qwerty, it does tend to frustrate me with its glitches and way-over-to-China posting style.

Plus, you can do a search for messages you've posted to avoid confusion for yourself. The Search button is up near the top of the board.

The new board has a similar format...iow, the kind that doesn't end up with messages going all the way over to China...lol.

Seriously, I think that Barb's intention is to try to put a lid on crude namecalling and/or derogatory implications.

For example, if RF were to write something like, "So, how's your mama's job on the corner working out?", Barb just might edit it to read, "So, how's your mama's job as CEO of her own company working out?"

Something along those lines. Censorship sure...but, censorship meant to lighten the atmosphere of the forums.

As far as words like f*ck, sh*t, and your basic profanity, no doubt there'll be leeway there. So, if some guy wants to call a female poster a "f*cking whore," or "f*cking c*nt," he probably will want to post "f*cking moron" instead.
