Basically; the masai in Tanzania seem to be on the losing end of the growth of tourism there. Hunting is a part of that growth, I have to painfully admit. There are questions whether the animal-takes are being successfully monitered, but worst of all, the moneys that should be going to the communties that host the hunting, seem to be going someplace else(IE; graft) The products of the hunt going to the locals has been one of the fundmentals of safari hunting for decades: I nagged X-black about it enough.
Quote from one Masai "....but in the end the animals are far more valuable than people."
