Let me preface this by saying that in my life I have shot at 2 deer with a bow... I killed two deer. I went shotgun hunting this morning and when I pulled in my buddy who owns the property was setting there in his truck. he motioned for me to grab my gun and hurry up. I loaded up and walked to his truck and he said that a friend was walking the adjoining property and I should see some deer soon. I stood there and talkked to him probably 15 minutes and then started walking into the woods. As soon as I stepped in the woods here came four does walking the edge of the river probably 50 yards away. I threw up the gun, took aim and BLAM!! splatted a tree between me and the doe.....They kind of scattered and I shot again BLAM splatted another tree.....I waited till one froze...she was standing broadside I took careful aim and BLAM ANOTHER TREE!!! I was taking good aim but at that distance there was just too much stuff between us. If you rule out the idea that I saw the same deer over and over I saw 16 deer today but bagged ZERO. Its funny I am a good shot with a gun... I do not get shook at all when deer come in range but I seemed to not be able to do anything right today. so PLEASE GRACE take the pins outta my eyes OK?

My wife gives me a kiss, tells me to bring home some venison and wishes me luck, when I suit up for a hunt Steve. Works for me.
