I'll name just one that belongs to my family....

Every xmas we have a big family holiday party (complete with grandparents, aunt's and uncles, cousins...all that) and my grandmother would always buy us these *books* of lifesavers rolls. I think they call them "Sweet Storybooks". They are holiday wrapped and usually have a variety of flavors in them.

Anyway...my generation (me, sister, cousins...) never through too much of them until the first yr we didn't get them. Maaan....WE WE'RE PISSED. icon_lol.gif I guess she figured since her grandkids were having kids of their own, that we didn't want them any longer. Not so! LOL We started teasing my grandmother and from the next yr on we always got them along with the little kids getting them. They're getting expensive....man they are up to 3.99 this year. I remember them being about a dollar or so ten yrs ago.

It's funny how something so small as a book of candy can mean so much... =)

Years ago we would:
Wake the kids up at 7am, open presents, clean house like crazy, have a huge Christmas Dinner, clean the kitchen and go to bed.

Now we:
Get up whenever the kids wake up, open presents, help the kids play with their toys (Jimmy got a model plane that has a real digital camera in it), maybe vacuum or something.. depends on the mood, have dinner (nachos and chili), clean the ktichen, do whatever.. icon_smile.gif

I think our big tradition will be Thanksgiving out here. All the relatives came over and we all had a blast.

Cool. icon_smile.gif

Oh yeah, Thanksgiving..... the tradition used to be "keep Amy and grandmother away from the black olives"... we used to eat them while cooking and everyone would wonder where they went. icon_biggrin.gif
