Alright people fess up. Here is a list of people that I am related to that have left their mark on society as ''bad guys"

1 Bull Connor cigar chewing Democrat racist hate mongerer of Birmingham Alabama during the civil rights movement was my granpas first cousin
2 Ever see the movie Mississippi Burning? Deputy Cecille Price was my grtgrt uncle. He changed his feelings before his death and talked about it alot at the family reunions up until he died. I used to listen to all the stories he told when I was a kid
3 Ben "Tall Texan" Kilpatrick was a member of the Wild Bunch and is in thepicture with the wild bunch. he is the one sitting between Butch and Sundance. He also rode with the Black Jack Ketchum gang. He was my grtgrtgranmothers nephew.
4 Major General Sterling Price civil war confederate general and then governor of Missourri Sterling Price went to Mexico after the Civil War. He was a leader of a Confederate exile colony in Carlota, Vera Cruz. When the colony proved to be a failure, he returned to Missouri. He died in St. Louis, Missouri on September 29, 1867.
5 General James Longstreet was married to my grtgrtgrtgranmas sister

I dont necessarily think my confederate connections are bad per se but are thought of as that by many americans these days you know the whole politically correct bullshit?

Well shit people I saw the short bus sitting outside the forum I didnt know yall rode here in it.

So I am the only person in here that has at least one or more unsavory types in my gene pool? Or is it yall dont know anything about your previous family and their lives?

Or is it that you are ashamed of your skeletons? hell we all got em thats what makes us unique.

Do they have to be famous?

My great grandfather was the original designer of calico fabric (though back then, it was made from wool).
My grandfather played on one of the first professional football teams in the US back in the early 1900s.
That's about the best I can come up with...

Nobody famous in my family, but my kids' great grandfather wrote a book that was published.

See I knew there were some folks that rode the regular bus into here lol.

Nah they aint gottta be famous or wekll known.

Just trying to get some chat going on in here.

The only reason I know of any is becaue I am an avid genealogist and have spent the last several years doing family research.

I have a great uncle that made the cover of life magazine in the 60's. He was a Alabama State Trooper when the march on selma occurred and was in the foreground with another trooper watching the marchers come across the bridge. He has three more pics in the article in the inside. I actually found two like new copies of it on ebay a few years back.
